Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–255","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not knowingly make or cause to be made a false statement or report in a document required to be submitted to the Administration by an agreement relating to a loan.\n(b) A person applying for a loan may not knowingly make or cause to be made a false statement or report to influence the action of the Administration on a loan application or to influence an action of the Administration affecting a loan already made.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $50,000 or both.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-255","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"7e6ae8e686037ff6f087920087498b583181763ff531de8c31d670e87f5bc7cf","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-253","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
