Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–2914","heading":"","body":"(a) A family that receives a voucher under the State Program shall:\n(1) supply any information to the Department or the public housing agency necessary for the administration of the State Program;\n(2) notify the Department or the public housing agency before vacating the unit;\n(3) use the unit only as a principal place of residence; and\n(4) maintain all utilities that are not paid through the housing assistance payment.\n(b) A family that receives a voucher under the State Program may not:\n(1) own the unit that the assistance is provided for;\n(2) commit fraud in connection with the State Program;\n(3) sublease or assign the lease or transfer the unit; or\n(4) allow anyone not on the unit lease to reside in the unit.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-2914","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"402e9b9a66b2c704e8c35409de15ea165cc246af525882402dd29444e856772f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-2913","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-2915"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
