Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–411","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A person may not knowingly make or cause to be made a false statement or report in a document required to be submitted to the Department under an agreement relating to a Program loan.\n(2) A loan applicant may not knowingly make or cause a false statement or report to be made to influence the action of the Department on a Program loan application or to influence action of the Department affecting a Program loan already made.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $50,000 or both.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-411","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"9ef22651c4dd89ca5174b83db8777f34d58338c3834cad1174491d2921c1e464","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-410","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
