Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–712","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A person may not knowingly make or cause to be made a false statement or report in a document required to be submitted to the Department relating to a grant or loan.\n(2) A grant or loan applicant may not knowingly make or cause to be made any false statement or report to influence the action of the Department on a grant or loan application or a grant or loan already made.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding $50,000 or both.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-712","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"d604c1a503b8884c2ad8664dade71d9c0d6eb6415541c08f00e52d6992115f5b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-711","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
