Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–915","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The Secretary shall set upper limits on the income that a family or individual may have to qualify as a family of limited income.\n(2) In setting the limits, the Secretary shall consider factors that include:\n(i) the portion of the total family income available for housing;\n(ii) the size of the family;\n(iii) the cost and condition of available housing;\n(iv) the ability of the family to compete successfully in the private housing market; and\n(v) relevant standards and definitions established for federal and State housing programs.\n(b) The Secretary may waive income limits for a borrower or occupant seeking a Program loan to rehabilitate a building that the State historical preservation officer finds historically or architecturally significant.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-915","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"043a21c1dbe381dcb1c90e145278ea4a400c49d3297ecabced51188298a564c8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-914","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-916"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
