Code, Housing and Community Development § 6–212","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, a sustainable community shall receive priority for State funding under the:\n(1) Community Legacy Program under this subtitle;\n(2) Sustainable Communities Tax Credit Program for commercial properties under Title 5A, Subtitle 3 of the State Finance and Procurement Article;\n(3) Neighborhood Business Development Program under Subtitle 3 of this title;\n(4) Maryland Historical Trust Grant Program under Title 5A, Subtitle 3 of the State Finance and Procurement Article; and\n(5) African American Heritage Grant Program under Title 5A, Subtitle 3 of the State Finance and Procurement Article.\n(b) Priority for State funding provided under subsection (a) of this section is available in a sustainable community only if:\n(1) a political subdivision issues bonds, notes, or other similar instruments for that sustainable community under:\n(i) Title 21, Subtitle 4, Part II of the Local Government Article;\n(ii) Title 21, Subtitle 5 of the Local Government Article; or\n(iii) Title 12, Subtitle 2 of the Economic Development Article; or\n(2) a political subdivision demonstrates to the appropriate unit of State government that the political subdivision has funded infrastructure improvements in that sustainable community.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=6-212","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"a98090ca29cce0ec93799da9c8249ea6f966618e5f950143053aa90774917ee3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-6-211","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-6-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
