Code, Housing and Community Development § 6–604","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a Community Development Board in the Program.\n(b) The Board consists of the following members:\n(1) the Secretary, or the Secretary’s designee; and\n(2) the following members, appointed by the Governor, in consultation with the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House:\n(i) one representative of the Community Development Network of Maryland;\n(ii) one representative of the small business community;\n(iii) one representative of the nonprofit development community;\n(iv) one representative of the for–profit development community;\n(v) one representative involved with rural community development;\n(vi) one representative involved with suburban community development; and\n(vii) one representative involved with urban community development.\n(c) The Secretary shall designate the chair of the Board.\n(d) (1) The term of a member may not exceed 3 years.\n(2) A member may be reappointed.\n(e) Service as a member is not a State office or State employment for purposes of any prohibition against holding two public positions.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=6-604","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"07a9737390bdedcf239f2d3a56c9e461619a3a5243f2daa84ea3630c516c1f53","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-6-603","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-6-605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
