Code, Human Services § 10–1001","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Aging and Disability Resource Center” has the meaning stated in 42 U.S.C. § 3002(4).\n(c) “Long–term services and supports” means the broad range of assistance needed by older adults and individuals with disabilities.\n(d) “Options counseling” means an interactive process that:\n(1) considers an individual’s needs, preferences, values, and circumstances;\n(2) assists and supports the individual and others the individual requests to participate in the process;\n(3) determines the individual’s goals for independent living; and\n(4) develops an appropriate long–term services and supports plan to achieve those goals.\n(e) “Program” means the Aging and Disability Resource Center Program established under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=10-1001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"b8ecd6c6f575f658acd79ab65dbb172a993e79eaf62eae70d19fa4b5eb80be1a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-911","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-1002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
