Code, Human Services § 10–1405","heading":"","body":"// EFFECTIVE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2028 PER CHAPTERS 340 AND 341 OF 2024 //\nOn or before September 1, 2027, the Montgomery County Village Consortium shall report to the Department on the implementation of this subtitle, including:\n(1) comprehensive best practices for creating and operating a hub and spoke model, including:\n(i) how to create a hub;\n(ii) establishing the relationship between the Montgomery County Village Consortium as the hub and the villages as the spokes;\n(iii) establishing the responsibilities of the hub and the spokes;\n(iv) describing the population that will be served by a hub;\n(v) how to establish a board of directors;\n(vi) how to identify resources within each hub community, including time, skills, and capabilities;\n(vii) how to identify the capacity of each hub, including geographic and population capacity;\n(viii) describing which services can be provided;\n(ix) how to train volunteers;\n(x) how to address overlapping needs of multiple villages’ unique senior communities, including:\n1. support and social activities;\n2. health and wellness; and\n3. education; and\n(xi) how to work with villages, including:\n1. how to increase village capacity;\n2. how to recruit new villages; and\n3. how to expand offerings of developing villages; and\n(2) recommendations regarding how to support interested diverse and underserved communities with the development of villages.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=10-1405","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"5c45df641b9252acc4726b0839737fb73e322fd16e5b6226b11dabb1897eaee7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-1404","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-11-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
