Code, Human Services § 10–440","heading":"","body":"(a) A provider may not remove a record or asset of the provider related to the operation of a facility or the provision of services under a continuing care agreement from the State unless the Department consents in writing.\n(b) Consent shall be based on the provider’s submission of satisfactory evidence that the removal:\n(1) will facilitate and make the operations of the provider more economical; and\n(2) will not diminish the service or protection to be given to the provider’s subscribers in the State.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=10-440","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"d65c0108b40591bc07b7711fca36f7ebe7159a7afdac9f72f1426a588b52fa58","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-439","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-441"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
