Code, Human Services § 10–502","heading":"","body":"(a) A unit of local government may apply to the Secretary for a grant for the cost of:\n(1) planning, design, construction, acquisition, conversion, renovation, or improvement of a senior citizen activities center;\n(2) developing a master plan;\n(3) purchasing capital equipment for a project;\n(4) leasing a senior citizen activities center as a lessee or lessor; or\n(5) making a subgrant to a nonprofit organization for a purpose described in item (1), (2), (3), or (4) of this subsection.\n(b) If the Secretary approves an application for a grant, the Secretary shall file with the Board of Public Works a report describing the scope of the project and a recommendation that the Board make the requested funds available.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=10-502","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"c6738bd97b6bc33ecbbb495c5368eef0a9b18d30fa0b005adbd8406b8bcb3990","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-501","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
