Code, Human Services § 10–704","heading":"","body":"(a) A family caregiver is eligible for a grant from the Program if:\n(1) the family caregiver resides with an adult dependent;\n(2) the adult dependent has been certified by a licensed physician in the State as an individual with long–term care needs for at least 180 consecutive days during the year; and\n(3) the family caregiver’s household income is 200% or less of the State median income, as adjusted for family size, in accordance with regulations adopted by the Secretary.\n(b) The Program may provide eligible family caregivers with a grant of up to $500 per household per year.\n(c) A grant may be used to fund goods and services required to provide care for an adult dependent including:\n(1) durable medical equipment;\n(2) medical bills;\n(3) medical supplies;\n(4) prescription or over–the–counter medications;\n(5) repairs or modifications to the home; and\n(6) respite care for the family caregiver.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=10-704","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"db92068e82e75d34c97691e22bf440645736159b6fa0ea5bd52b4d30d2f4ffaa","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-703","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-10-705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
