Code, Human Services § 5–5B–08","heading":"","body":"(a) The Governor shall provide sufficient funds in the budget to ensure that the value of the maximum monthly allowable assistance under the Program is equal to at least:\n(1) for fiscal year 2020, $215;\n(2) for fiscal year 2021, 74% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program in fiscal year 2021;\n(3) for fiscal year 2022, 78% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program in fiscal year 2022;\n(4) for fiscal year 2023, 82% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program in fiscal year 2023;\n(5) for fiscal year 2024, 86% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program in fiscal year 2024;\n(6) for fiscal year 2025, 90% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program in fiscal year 2025;\n(7) for fiscal year 2026, 94% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program in fiscal year 2026; and\n(8) for fiscal year 2027 and each year thereafter, 100% of the monthly allowable benefit for a one–person household receiving temporary cash assistance through the Family Investment Program for that fiscal year.\n(b) Assistance shall be paid to the applicant monthly.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=5-5B-08","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"47b4c4f115997581a0a62e107bd7831d1a82067dec6e58371bb80dc53a89017d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-5-5b-07","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-5-5b-09"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
