Code, Human Services § 6–508","heading":"","body":"(a) In this part the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “CARE Program” means the Certified Adult Residential Environment Program.\n(c) (1) “Individual with a disability” means an adult who requires a supportive housing arrangement to reside in the community because of a physical, medical, or mental disability.\n(2) “Individual with a disability” does not include an adult whose disability is so severe or complex as to require specialized professional intervention as part of the supportive housing arrangement.\n(d) “Supportive housing arrangement” means a housing arrangement that provides an individual with room, board, and assistance with the activities of daily living.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=6-508","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"fdad07fb500ace4c6322ec2e17101f04700516e49eeca9a9c7bfabdb94a4d656","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-6-505","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-6-509"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
