Code, Human Services § 7–605","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board consists of:\n(1) the Secretary of Information Technology or the Secretary’s designee;\n(2) a representative from the Maryland Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities Administration, appointed by the Secretary of Health;\n(3) a representative of the State Department of Education Division of Rehabilitation Services, appointed by the State Superintendent of Schools; and\n(4) eight members of the public appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.\n(b) Of the eight members of the public appointed by the Governor:\n(1) four shall have significant experience in finance, accounting, investment management, or consumer lending; and\n(2) four shall have disabilities or assist individuals with disabilities.\n(c) (1) The term of a member appointed by the Governor is 4 years.\n(2) At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(3) A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(4) A member appointed by the Governor may not serve more than two terms.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=7-605","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"f65f47313c25edc22418847f9599fda6fcb34c98bf0e382adbc4c33292ab0c38","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-7-604","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-7-606"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
