Code, Human Services § 8–402","heading":"","body":"(a) The Council consists of the following members:\n(1) the Special Secretary of the Governor’s Office for Children, or the Special Secretary’s designee;\n(2) the Secretary of Juvenile Services, or the Secretary’s designee;\n(3) the Secretary of Health, or the Secretary’s designee;\n(4) the Secretary of Human Services, or the Secretary’s designee; and\n(5) the State Superintendent of Schools, or the Superintendent’s designee.\n(b) The Secretary of Budget and Management, or the Secretary’s designee, shall serve as a nonvoting ex officio Council member.\n(c) The Secretary of Disabilities, or the Secretary’s designee, shall serve as a nonvoting ex officio Council member.\n(d) The Children’s Cabinet shall designate up to three individuals to serve on the Council on a rotating basis to represent each of the following stakeholder groups:\n(1) family members or family advocates; and\n(2) youth or youth advocates.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=8-402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"e4875607193b1d997f0308d2fd9073089aae3ee0d9c3b9dd996d858fe1bf2669","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-8-401","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-8-403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
