Code, Human Services § 8–404","heading":"","body":"The Council shall address the population of children who are in out–of–state placements or are recommended for out–of–state placements, including:\n(1) reviewing recommendations for State funding of the individual placement of a child in need of out–of–state placement;\n(2) coordinating the monitoring of out–of–state residential facilities for children as required by statute;\n(3) tracking the types, costs, and effectiveness of services required to meet the needs of children who are recommended for out–of–state placements;\n(4) providing training and technical assistance to local agency and community partners;\n(5) making recommendations to the appropriate secretary on the development of regulations to carry out this subtitle; and\n(6) performing other related activities that the Children’s Cabinet identifies.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=8-404","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"f9ab7f30487700c0f50d49683e307e45c8ca60462364dfd0129aeb56bb635cde","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-8-403","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-8-405"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
