Code, Human Services § 9–402","heading":"","body":"(a) A county, municipal corporation, for profit organization, or nonprofit organization sponsoring a project involving the planning, design, construction, conversion, acquisition, renovation, and equipping of a juvenile facility in the State may apply to the Department for a grant under this subtitle.\n(b) (1) An application shall be filed with the Department in the form the Department requires.\n(2) The applicant shall file with the Department a statement that includes:\n(i) a list of the personnel employed or to be employed at the juvenile facility;\n(ii) all compensation and other expenses paid or to be paid to the personnel;\n(iii) all other expenses incurred or to be incurred in operating the juvenile facility; and\n(iv) a schedule of rates charged or to be charged for services provided at the juvenile facility.\n(c) If the Secretary approves the project and the project plans, the Secretary shall promptly:\n(1) report the application to the Board of Public Works; and\n(2) recommend that the Board make funds available as provided in this subtitle.\n(d) The amount of the State grant for a project shall be determined after considering:\n(1) all eligible applications;\n(2) the total of unallocated State funds available when the application is received; and\n(3) the priorities of area need that the Department establishes.","path":["Article - Human Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghu\u0026section=9-402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:17Z","sha256":"f5e13ef22b81a556e78c6dc9165ada2cb022236ae7b6fe9e283ece53abb29cb0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-9-401","next":"us-md/md.-code-human-services-9-403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
