Code, Insurance § 10–206","heading":"","body":"An applicant for a license shall file with the Commissioner a bond that:\n(1) is approved by the Commissioner as to form and sufficiency of security;\n(2) is executed by the applicant and an authorized surety insurer;\n(3) is in the penal sum of $1,000;\n(4) is conditioned on the applicant faithfully performing the duties of an adviser;\n(5) runs to the State; and\n(6) specifically authorizes the State to recover the penal sum of the bond if the applicant is guilty of fraudulent or dishonest practices while acting as an adviser.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=10-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"46d2b1da26032e258aa53fb003692dedb5f2fa39bc1f6b86ca4329de62506262","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-10-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-10-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
