Code, Insurance § 14–111","heading":"","body":"Subject to the authority of the Commissioner to regulate nonprofit health service plans under this article, a certificate of authority issued under this subtitle authorizes a corporation to:\n(1) issue contracts in the form filed with the Commissioner to persons that become subscribers to the plan;\n(2) finance capital improvement projects through the Maryland Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority as provided under Title 10, Subtitle 3 of the Economic Development Article;\n(3) finance capital improvement projects through the Maryland Economic Development Corporation as provided under Title 10, Subtitle 1 of the Economic Development Article; and\n(4) partner with the State and other public or private entities to provide services or administer programs intended to address community health care needs.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=14-111","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"d59f0539a907654b44e70e0c2426502f2ed74786f63138d0a52657af20f6e194","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-14-110","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-14-112"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
