Code, Insurance § 14–112","heading":"","body":"The Commissioner may revoke a certificate of authority issued to a corporation subject to this subtitle, and at any time after revocation may institute proceedings under Title 9, Subtitle 2 of this article to rehabilitate or liquidate the corporation, if:\n(1) grounds exist under § 4-113 of this article; or\n(2) the Commissioner has reason to believe that the corporation:\n(i) is being operated for profit;\n(ii) is being fraudulently conducted;\n(iii) is not complying with this subtitle or article;\n(iv) knowingly is failing to comply with a rule, regulation, or order of the Commissioner; or\n(v) has violated the provisions of Title 6.5 of the State Government Article.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=14-112","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"1219728f51df3bf07e6f3585cf36f025a035ce7f9957bd0fd64cf400c4b8d143","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-14-111","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-14-115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
