Code, Insurance § 15–10A–09","heading":"","body":"(a) The Commissioner shall adopt regulations to carry out this subtitle.\n(b) In addition to the requirements of subsection (a) of this section, the Commissioner shall adopt by regulation a requirement that each carrier provide a mechanism in a form and manner that the Commissioner may require to enable a member to:\n(1) be informed of the member’s right to challenge a decision made by a carrier that resulted in the nonpayment of a health care service; and\n(2) access the Consumer Education and Advocacy Program in the Administration.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=15-10A-09","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"d9103cb4c90ab27b6ed0cd3c95da86e4b9810ca5f254b47b20f9ae7f62a6a0da","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-10a-08","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-10a-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
