Code, Insurance § 15–1604","heading":"","body":"(a) A pharmacy benefits manager shall register with the Commissioner as a pharmacy benefits manager before providing pharmacy benefits management services in the State to purchasers.\n(b) An applicant for registration shall:\n(1) file with the Commissioner an application on the form that the Commissioner provides; and\n(2) pay to the Commissioner a registration fee set by the Commissioner.\n(c) The Commissioner may require any additional information or submissions from a pharmacy benefits manager that may be reasonably necessary to verify the information contained in the application.\n(d) Subject to the provisions of § 15–1607 of this part, the Commissioner shall register each pharmacy benefits manager that meets the requirements of this section.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=15-1604","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"7bfbbe513247e045df421ccc465f3e96ba495041e855cd89d20585ec15a8588b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-1601","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-1605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
