Code, Insurance § 15–1704","heading":"","body":"(a) A carrier shall notify the Commissioner of the results of any final review conducted by a ratings examiner of a physician rating system of the carrier within 45 calendar days after receipt of the results by the carrier.\n(b) If the review conducted by a ratings examiner of a physician rating system of a carrier indicates that the physician rating system does not comply with the requirements of Title 19, Subtitle 1, Part V of the Health – General Article, the Commissioner may order the carrier to:\n(1) correct the deficiency; or\n(2) cease the use of the physician rating system.\n(c) A carrier using a physician rating system shall report annually to the Commissioner:\n(1) the number of appeals filed by physicians under this subtitle; and\n(2) the outcome of the appeals.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=15-1704","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"0539ba5fdb91b0c047287dc33083b6f70c876100dbb8e78ead879668a882ef3a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-1703","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-1901"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
