Code, Insurance § 15–704","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to each individual, group, or blanket health insurance policy, contract, or certificate of an insurer or nonprofit health service plan that:\n(1) (i) is delivered or issued for delivery in the State;\n(ii) is issued to a group that is incorporated or has a main office in the State; or\n(iii) covers individuals who reside or work in the State; and\n(2) is issued, renewed, amended, or reissued on or after October 1, 2003.\n(b) If a policy, contract, or certificate subject to this section provides for reimbursement for a service that is within the lawful scope of practice of a licensed clinical professional counselor, a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist, a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, or a licensed clinical professional art therapist, the insured or any other person covered by the policy or certificate is entitled to reimbursement for the service.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=15-704","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"ee0ddaaaf2df663a6a5acdcc0433caa7b886d0f6cc4eeb592e272b048535846d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-703","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
