Code, Insurance § 15–714","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to each individual or group health insurance policy, contract, or certificate that:\n(1) (i) is issued or delivered in the State;\n(ii) is issued to a group that is incorporated or has a main office in the State; or\n(iii) covers individuals who reside or work in the State; and\n(2) is issued, renewed, amended, or reissued on or after July 1, 1972.\n(b) Notwithstanding any other provision of a policy, contract, or certificate subject to this section, if the policy, contract, or certificate provides for reimbursement for a service that is within the lawful scope of practice of a licensed psychologist, the insured or any other person covered by the policy, contract, or certificate is entitled to reimbursement for the service regardless of whether the service is performed by a physician or licensed psychologist.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=15-714","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"2b1ac75bdd29813053f8e54a8a14521d2ed7391b370c07b1591938f07e8b1d23","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-713","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-15-715"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
