Code, Insurance § 25–305","heading":"","body":"(a) A self-insurance group is not liable for payments to the Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Corporation.\n(b) There is a Self-Insurers’ Guaranty Fund.\n(c) The Uninsured Employers’ Fund established under § 10-304 of the Labor and Employment Article shall administer the Self-Insurers’ Guaranty Fund.\n(d) Each self-insurance group shall pay an assessment into the Self-Insurers’ Guaranty Fund at the same level assessed against other workers’ compensation insurers by the Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Corporation under Title 9, Subtitle 3 of this article.\n(e) (1) The Self-Insurers’ Guaranty Fund shall pay any outstanding obligations of a self-insurance group that becomes insolvent.\n(2) If the Self-Insurers’ Guaranty Fund becomes insolvent, any outstanding obligations of an insolvent self-insurance group are a joint and several liability of each member of the self-insurance group.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=25-305","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"4be06a5e173ff4b5ad26e5fb83f8dde4dca93e16e7afeea5b13524615a97c238","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-25-304","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-25-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
