Code, Insurance § 26–301","heading":"","body":"(a) Through its proper officer or agent, each licensee promptly shall notify the Commissioner of the name, title, and address of each individual the licensee desires to appoint as a representative in the State.\n(b) The notice required by this section shall be:\n(1) filed with the Commissioner on the form that the Commissioner provides; and\n(2) accompanied by:\n(i) an initial registration fee of $5; and\n(ii) a statement in writing, by the appointee, that gives:\n1. the appointee’s name, age, residence address, business address, present occupation, and occupation for the 5 years immediately preceding the date of the notice;\n2. the names of motor clubs represented during the 5 years immediately preceding the date of the notice and where represented; and\n3. any other information the Commissioner requires.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=26-301","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"e9b25c7bc9a6c5d60ddc913b70e1bbe07ca524bbea0b614e09b2e61a36b4bd8e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-26-209","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-26-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
