Code, Insurance § 3–308","heading":"","body":"Each insurance contract or confirmation procured and delivered under this subtitle shall be:\n(1) endorsed or stamped conspicuously in boldface type on the first page of the insurance contract or confirmation as follows: “This insurance is issued by a nonadmitted insurer not under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Insurance Commissioner”; and\n(2) accompanied by a written disclosure, as prescribed by the Commissioner, that:\n(i) is written in clear, plain English;\n(ii) explains that the insurer does not possess a certificate of authority from the Commissioner to engage in the insurance business in the State; and\n(iii) includes any other information that the Commissioner requires.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=3-308","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"04dda4f27f98f40a947c84c28053d5c425c2b465c51e0f12bba6cb7e6dbbf950","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-3-307","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-3-309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
