Code, Insurance § 31–109","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, the Exchange may enter into agreements or memoranda of understanding with another state to:\n(1) develop joint or reciprocal certification processes;\n(2) develop consistency in qualified plans offered across states; and\n(3) coordinate resources for administrative processes necessary to support:\n(i) certification of qualified plans; and\n(ii) other functions of the Exchange.\n(b) Any interstate agreements or memoranda of understanding entered into under subsection (a) of this section shall comply with and advance:\n(1) the purposes and requirements of this subtitle and the Affordable Care Act; and\n(2) the policies and regulations adopted by the Exchange under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=31-109","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"28f36c193af7ae1a2b83cda6c5c5b74598c1149a97832a358694135f805bea63","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-31-108","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-31-110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
