Code, Insurance § 31–117.1","heading":"","body":"(a) As soon as practicable but not later than July 1, 2018, the Exchange, in consultation with the Commissioner and as approved by the Board, shall submit a State Innovation Waiver application under § 1332 of the Affordable Care Act to establish a program for reinsurance and seek federal pass–through funding.\n(b) On or before December 31, 2018, the Commissioner may waive any notification or other requirements that apply to a carrier under this article in calendar year 2018 due to the implementation of a waiver approved under § 1332 of the Affordable Care Act.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=31-117.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"770af1311e6c10a2e5a266da6d56c4cbeafd78593a099f74c041391046100203","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-31-117","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-31-118"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
