Code, Insurance § 4–507","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to § 2–210 of this article, an insurer that fails to timely submit a CGAD to the Commissioner as required by this subtitle and without just cause is subject to a penalty of $200 for each day the violation continues, up to a maximum of $25,000.\n(b) The Commissioner may reduce a penalty imposed on an insurer under subsection (a) of this section if the insurer demonstrates to the Commissioner that the imposition of the penalty would constitute a financial hardship to the insurer.\n(c) This section does not limit the authority of the Commissioner to take any other action authorized by this article.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=4-507","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"a557cf5d4a153b3c0580957531950cf1897a04644ae32d3536c515d5d9d45ab6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-4-506","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-4-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
