Code, Insurance § 7–203","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, within 3 years after a domestic insurer ends its control of a subsidiary, the domestic insurer shall dispose of all investments in the subsidiary that were made under § 7-202 of this subtitle.\n(2) The Commissioner may extend the time for disposal of the investments.\n(b) A domestic insurer is not required to dispose of an investment under subsection (a) of this section if, after the investment is made:\n(1) the investment meets the requirements for investment under another provision of this article; and\n(2) the domestic insurer notifies the Commissioner that the investment meets the other requirements.","path":["Article - Insurance"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gin\u0026section=7-203","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:28Z","sha256":"e9c050acd65a197e6b1383f965a45da8ba37af172bc49f4ebf1411c3349b65eb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-7-202","next":"us-md/md.-code-insurance-7-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
