Code, Labor and Employment § 10–214","heading":"","body":"(a) The Fund shall consist of:\n(1) the money credited to the Fund under Title 9 of this article;\n(2) income from investments that the State Treasurer makes for the Fund;\n(3) interest on deposits or investments of money from the Fund;\n(4) money that the Fund acquires by gift; and\n(5) money that the federal government pays as reimbursement for a payment from the Fund.\n(b) The Fund shall include each security that the Fund acquires.\n(c) The Fund shall be used to pay:\n(1) each award under Title 9 of this article charged against the Fund; and\n(2) other expenses authorized in the State budget.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=10-214","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"cf4d2bc10b1ffd9087720aa5229d33e507c6abc44598949a471bd1bf6ff85524","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-10-211","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-10-215"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
