Code, Labor and Employment § 10–309","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall determine the times and places of its meetings.\n(b) Subject to the State budget, each member of the Board is entitled to:\n(1) compensation for each day that the member is engaged in duties of the office; and\n(2) reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations.\n(c) The Board shall:\n(1) appoint a Director for the Fund; and\n(2) review the Director’s administration of the Fund.\n(d) The Director:\n(1) shall have immediate supervision and direction over the administration of the Fund;\n(2) may employ staff in accordance with the State budget; and\n(3) shall serve as the appointing authority for all staff.\n(e) An employee may appeal a disciplinary action taken by the Director to the Board.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=10-309","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"993a641cc5c810a50c273b406f29f1595dacd23b5268baa59f042aaa32598748","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-10-308","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-10-310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
