Code, Labor and Employment § 11–302","heading":"","body":"(a) This subtitle does not apply to reductions in operations if the reduction:\n(1) results solely from labor disputes;\n(2) occurs in a commercial, industrial, or agricultural enterprise operated by this State or its political subdivisions;\n(3) occurs at construction sites or other temporary workplaces;\n(4) results from seasonal factors that are determined by the Department to be customary in the industry; or\n(5) results when an employer files for bankruptcy under federal bankruptcy laws.\n(b) For the purposes of this subtitle, an employee may not be counted in the determination of a reduction in operations if the employee accepts an offer to transfer to any other site of employment within 30 days after being offered the transfer.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=11-302","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"a1ffbfb6bd861444511ef75fb32c8ce776b0e2d2fb6064af32db826db22661eb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-11-301","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-11-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
