Code, Labor and Employment § 3–1001","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Civil Air Patrol leave” means leave requested by an employee who:\n(1) is a volunteer member of the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force known as the Civil Air Patrol; and\n(2) has been authorized by the United States Air Force, the Governor, or a political subdivision of the State to respond to an emergency mission.\n(c) “Employee” means any individual who performs services for, or under the control of, a provider of wages or remuneration.\n(d) “Employee benefits” means all benefits other than wages given by an employer.\n(e) “Employer” means any person that employs more than 15 employees.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=3-1001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"6ce046ef448089d5c274e8eede3101c8617cd5be5c09cf795e8a5ef7b2da4f28","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-3-920","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-3-1002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
