Code, Labor and Employment § 3–1407","heading":"","body":"(a) An employer may not:\n(1) violate any provision of this subtitle;\n(2) hinder, delay, or otherwise interfere with the Commissioner or an authorized representative of the Commissioner in the enforcement of this subtitle; or\n(3) discharge or otherwise discriminate against an employee because the employee has:\n(i) requested or taken organ donation leave authorized under this subtitle;\n(ii) made a complaint to the employer, the Commissioner, or another person; or\n(iii) testified or will testify in an action under this subtitle or a proceeding that relates to the subject of this subtitle.\n(b) The Commissioner may bring an action for injunctive relief and damages against a person who violates subsection (a)(1) or (3) of this section.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=3-1407","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"f4ce699b7a2905e35defd2b4a2f03eebefec5a1573f67beb21db360e05c176c9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-3-1406","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-3-1408"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
