Code, Labor and Employment § 5–1103","heading":"","body":"(a) The workplace safety committee shall establish a workplace safety program that is appropriate for the size and complexity of the health care facility.\n(b) The workplace safety program established under subsection (a) of this section shall include:\n(1) a written policy describing how the health care facility provides for the safety of health care workers;\n(2) an annual assessment to:\n(i) identify hazards, conditions, operations, and situations that could lead to workplace injuries; and\n(ii) be used to develop recommendations to reduce the risk of workplace injuries;\n(3) a process for reporting, responding to, and tracking incidences of workplace injuries; and\n(4) regular workplace safety training for health care workers.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=5-1103","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"238c75a2c9f0d4ac7eef80d873b7554f22d8d913242e33bbfd0fd93433bcc17d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-5-1102","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-5-1201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
