Code, Labor and Employment § 5–207","heading":"","body":"(a) On request of the Commissioner, the Attorney General may proceed in a State or federal court or before any other federal unit:\n(1) to enforce a decision of the Commissioner under this title;\n(2) subject to § 3–302 of the State Finance and Procurement Article, to collect a civil penalty that is assessed by order of the Commissioner under this title; or\n(3) to enforce any other order of the Commissioner under this title.\n(b) If the request under subsection (a) of this section concerns a public body, the Attorney General shall:\n(1) provide notice of the request to all affected employees of the public body and any employee representatives; and\n(2) provide notice of the request to the Governor, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Delegates.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=5-207","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"9a7a2f597ab0440375cf0dceabe4caf9c8db2e70bacf6775a97cb272a7d8d8c9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-5-206","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-5-208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
