Code, Labor and Employment § 8–1503","heading":"","body":"(a) The eligibility period of a former servicemember consists of:\n(1) the weeks in the former servicemember’s benefit year that begin during the additional benefit period; and\n(2) if the former servicemember’s benefit year ends during the additional benefit period, any week thereafter that begins during the additional benefit period.\n(b) To be eligible for additional benefits for a week during an eligibility period, a former servicemember:\n(1) shall be unemployed for the week for which benefits are claimed;\n(2) shall meet each requirement of this title for regular benefits that applies to a claim for additional benefits;\n(3) may not be subject to disqualification from receiving regular benefits; and\n(4) shall have exhausted all UCX benefits to which the former servicemember is entitled.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=8-1503","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"4207e51f9673b74faebfbd661dff27c5ad04a81d43d55629b3ec5b8311bcc898","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-8-1502","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-8-1504"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
