Code, Labor and Employment § 9–701","heading":"","body":"Subject to this title, the Commission shall:\n(1) adopt reasonable and proper regulations to govern the procedures of the Commission, which shall be as simple and brief as reasonably possible;\n(2) determine the nature and the form of an application for benefits or compensation;\n(3) regulate and provide for the nature and form of notices and for the service of notices;\n(4) regulate and provide for the nature and extent of evidence and proof and for the method of taking and providing evidence and proof to establish a right to compensation;\n(5) regulate the method of conducting an investigation or physical examination; and\n(6) set the time within which an adjudication or award shall be made.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=9-701","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"88e6ad3c52e98ef1d4e4381c022e83692a3a4c9ad7e5ed30030f7058c3d2718e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-9-6a-20","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-9-702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
