Code, Labor and Employment § 9–721","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section, a physician shall evaluate a permanent impairment and report the evaluation to the Commission in accordance with the regulations of the Commission.\n(b) A medical evaluation of a permanent impairment shall include information about:\n(1) atrophy;\n(2) pain;\n(3) weakness; and\n(4) loss of endurance, function, and range of motion.\n(c) If a permanent impairment involves a behavioral or mental disorder, a licensed psychologist or qualified physician shall:\n(1) perform an evaluation of only the mental or behavioral portion of the permanent impairment; and\n(2) report the evaluation to the Commission in accordance with the regulations of the Commission.","path":["Article - Labor and Employment"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gle\u0026section=9-721","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:38Z","sha256":"db4749380420c5ad9fa4fc9cac7e150a6c9576a2013d29d49e5d92f33dd91a03","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-9-720","next":"us-md/md.-code-labor-and-employment-9-722"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
