Code, Land Use § 10–102","heading":"","body":"(a) A regulation adopted under this title that conflicts with any statute, local law, or other regulation shall govern if the regulation adopted under this title:\n(1) requires a greater width or size of yards, courts, or other open spaces;\n(2) requires a lower height of buildings;\n(3) requires a reduced number of stories;\n(4) requires a greater percentage of lot left unoccupied; or\n(5) imposes a more restrictive standard.\n(b) A statute, local law, or other regulation that conflicts with a regulation adopted under this title shall govern if the statute, local law, or other regulation:\n(1) requires a greater width or size of yards, courts, or other open spaces;\n(2) requires a lower height of buildings;\n(3) requires a reduced number of stories;\n(4) requires a greater percentage of lot left unoccupied; or\n(5) imposes a more restrictive standard.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=10-102","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"edc8bd32c78fbfbf30a80011e17ac96244f85cda7df434d56b6002ebeca18636","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-10-101","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-10-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
