Code, Land Use § 10–305","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore City shall refer proposed changes to the boundaries of a district or zone to the Baltimore City Planning Commission and to the Board.\n(2) The Planning Commission and the Board shall:\n(i) study the proposed changes in relation to:\n1. the plan;\n2. the needs of Baltimore City; and\n3. the needs of the particular neighborhood in the vicinity of the proposed changes; and\n(ii) report their findings and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council.\n(3) If the Planning Commission and the Board recommend disapproval of the proposed changes to the boundaries of a district or zone, the changes may not take effect unless a majority of the members of the City Council vote to approve the changes.\n(b) The provisions of § 10–303 of this subtitle concerning public hearings and notice apply to all changes or amendments to regulations and boundaries.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=10-305","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"2b6df3c6962b19736e1644c390a645b1cc1d9408673eef4266649f7cc5a055df","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-10-304","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-10-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
