Code, Land Use § 11–203","heading":"","body":"(a) A zoning official may deliver a citation to a person who has committed a civil zoning violation.\n(b) (1) The citation shall contain:\n(i) the name and address of the person charged;\n(ii) the nature of the violation, including the provision violated;\n(iii) the location and time of the violation;\n(iv) the amount of the fine;\n(v) the manner, location, and time for payment of the fine; and\n(vi) notice of the cited person’s right to elect to stand trial for the violation and how to exercise that right.\n(2) The citation shall bear a certification attesting to the truth of the matters set forth in the citation.\n(c) The zoning official shall keep a copy of the citation.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=11-203","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"61fbe2979eb9640b1812d0604752618b21c94f51448cd3c76e3ab2b5e592e6c7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-11-202","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-11-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
