Code, Land Use § 11–204","heading":"","body":"(a) A person who receives a citation may elect to stand trial for the violation by filing a notice of intention to stand trial with the zoning official at least 5 business days before the date set forth in the citation for the payment of fines.\n(b) After receiving a notice of intention to stand trial, the zoning official shall forward the notice, with a copy of the citation, to the District Court having venue.\n(c) After receiving the citation and notice, the District Court shall:\n(1) schedule the case for trial; and\n(2) notify the defendant of the trial date.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=11-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"89d2e30ac9abd0553478151ce2577f6471099ca3d813e461e98b4be01b18ea1f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-11-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-11-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
