Code, Land Use § 16–106","heading":"","body":"(a) The board shall:\n(1) prepare and recommend a compensation plan, a classification plan, and comprehensive regulations governing operation of the merit system; and\n(2) submit its recommendations to the Commission for adoption.\n(b) (1) The Commission may adopt, disapprove, or modify a recommendation of the board.\n(2) If the Commission does not act on a recommendation of the board within 90 days after the date of filing of the recommendation with the Commission, the recommendation is deemed approved.\n(c) A recommendation by the board for an amendment to an adopted compensation plan, classification plan, or regulation is subject to subsection (b) of this section.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=16-106","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"5b74be22a6b008e75a7bbfa870ca8d37d9cd64d5695cca436e8439b7b48ebd7a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-16-105","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-16-107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
