Code, Land Use § 16–204","heading":"","body":"(a) An employee organization that is certified or that seeks certification as an exclusive representative under this subtitle shall submit to the labor relations administrator:\n(1) a copy of the employee organization’s constitution and bylaws; and\n(2) any change in the constitution or bylaws.\n(b) The constitution or bylaws shall include:\n(1) a pledge that the employee organization accepts members without regard to age, marital status, national origin, race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity;\n(2) the right of members to participate in the affairs of the employee organization;\n(3) procedures for periodic elections of officers by secret ballot;\n(4) fair procedures governing disciplinary actions;\n(5) procedures for the accurate accounting of income and expenditures;\n(6) a requirement that a certified annual financial report be produced; and\n(7) the right of members to inspect the organization’s accounts.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=16-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"a203e8dd79475f55aa1cb3a52f7cef4a4b603895a5a4cdc534112afac4912c7a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-16-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-16-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
