Code, Land Use § 16–405","heading":"","body":"(a) The Commission shall provide at least 60 days’ advance notice, and maintain at all times a formal plan of outplacement assistance, for each employee of the Commission who is represented by a certified representative and will be adversely affected by a service contract that is subject to this subtitle.\n(b) A plan described in subsection (a) of this section shall include:\n(1) efforts to transfer or place each adversely affected employee of the Commission in a vacant position of the Commission that the employee is qualified to perform;\n(2) inclusion of a requirement in the service contract that the contractor shall:\n(i) notify the Commission of each vacant position for which displaced employees of the Commission may apply; and\n(ii) consider and give preference to hiring displaced employees of the Commission; and\n(3) written notification of the anticipated adverse effect on one or more job classifications to the certified representative at least 90 days before the anticipated adverse effect will occur.","path":["Article - Land Use"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=glu\u0026section=16-405","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:47Z","sha256":"28bc4400152b35e18cb9f9413e8fd8bf02a60bd8dd6b5ba2cd764550dc554a13","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-16-404","next":"us-md/md.-code-land-use-16-406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
